Island Birds, acylic painting on canvas

As an artist I prefer to create acrylic paintings, these are usually painted on stretched canvas that have been undercoated with artist gesso. When finished the paint is protected with an isolation coat and then varnished with a water based varnish.

This varnished surface can be cleaned with a damp soft cloth, however any ammonia based cleaning products will remove the varnish , the varnish I use has some UV protection but it is advisable not to hang the painting in direct sunlight and not expect some faint colour fading over a lifetime. The paintings can be re-varnished with the isolation coat protecting the paint during the removal of old worn varnish.

Illustration

I work with traditional media and computers, I have a range of styles ranging from the simple spot cartoon to a billboard sized information graphic. I have worked with a wide range of clients from the private individual to the business corporation. I have a skill of illustrating from plain text.

I can deliver my illustration work digitally or physically if required, I work with Adobe software and Corel Painter and can send files in varied formats such jpg, eps, pdf etc.
I can work on site or from my studio and have some experience as a sketch artist for events or murals for shops.
